Gathering around food is one of the simplest ways we connect. This barkuterie board offers your dog a place in the moment without compromising the structure of their daily wellness ritual. |
Ingredients:
- Dog treats of your choice
- ½ banana, sliced
- 1 tablespoon blueberries
- 3–4 cucumber slices
- 2 tablespoons diced carrots
- 1 mozzarella string cheese stick, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Home-made, pet-friendly cookies
- 1 tablespoon plain nonfat yogurt or peanut butter without xylitol
Instructions for Homemade Cookies:
- Heat oven to 325°F.
- Combine pawTree’s Gourmet Baking Mix with ½ cup water and ¼ cup vegetable oil in a bowl. Mix until dough forms.
- Roll into balls using about 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 25–35 minutes until firm. Allow to cool completely.
- Drizzle lightly with plain nonfat yogurt or peanut butter to finish.
Assemble the Board
Arrange all ingredients on a wooden board or serving platter. Keep spacing between items and offer gradually rather than all at once.
Thoughtful Substitutions
The best boards often begin with what is already in your kitchen. When substituting, confirm all ingredients are
dog-safe and serve in moderation.
Additional dog-friendly options include:
- Strawberries, stems removed, 2 tablespoons
- Papaya, seeds removed, 2 tablespoons
- Apple, seeds removed, 4 slices
- Celery, sliced, 2 tablespoons
- Spinach or kale, 2 tablespoons
- Sweet potato, diced, 2 tablespoons
Including your dog does not require excess. It requires intention, moderation and ingredients you trust.
When care becomes a ritual, even a celebration supports their wellbeing.
This is what thoughtful care looks like.
